Shockwave CO2 is working with a large local meat processing plant to install a Shockwave Liquefaction (SW LCO2) demo system for recovery of CO2 on meat blending dry ice applications. This small-scale demo system is designed to recover CO2 off of a single meat mixer blender and projects to recover at a rate of 5 tons per day of liquid CO2 from exhausted process CO2 that would otherwise be vented into the atmosphere and wasted. Site installation will commence throughout Q1 2019.
Shockwave CO2 has successfully tested the Shockwave Liquefaction (SW LCO2) demo system and recovered CO2 gas as liquid CO2. Tests have been conducted at Vector Systems shop floor. Live demonstrations have been given to several select customers, whom have requested more information and offered potential installation sites for real-world trial testing.
Shockwave CO2 has signed a development and distribution agreement with one of Europe’s largest industrial boiler manufacturer, Rafako SA. Rafako plans to start commercializing Shock Scrubbers throughout 2019 as a retrofit add-on technology for an existing line of Rafako coal-fired boilers to help customers meet upcoming compliance deadlines.
